💡 About COVIDNOW

What was COVIDNOW?

Launched in 2021 and built and shipped to production in just 3 weeks in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Malaysia, COVIDNOW (covidnow.moh.gov.my) served as Malaysia's official public data and analytics dashboard during the pandemic.

The platform revolutionized national public health communication by moving away from static daily PDF press statements to an interactive, real-time, open-data dashboard. It delivered daily granular statistics on vaccination rollouts, hospital and ICU bed capacities, ventilator utilization, testing positivity, and fatalities across all 16 states and federal territories.

🤝

Volunteer Developer Team

Built pro bono by 4 independent developers — Henry Lim, Calum Lim, Lim Sheng Han, and Roshen Maghan — in close partnership with Dr. Mahesh Appannan and the MoH Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) data team.
